Haha, no. It was easy.

Brewer fan here.

Gotta say Lincecum by a mile but that doesn't mean Gallardo can't be an all-star a few times. Lincecum is going to be a Cy Young guy, though.

LINCECUM without a doubt. Not many young starting pitchers I take over him.
BAF Suns

Chris Paul / Patrick Beverley / Shamorie Ponds
Buddy Hield / Timothy Luwawu / Stanley Johnson
Kendrick Nunn / Matisse Thybulle / Darius Miller
RJ Barrett / Kyle Kuzma / Dwayne Bacon
DeAndre Jordan / Kenrich Williams / DJ Wilson

I can't wait for the "Geoff Jenkins vs. Ted Williams" thread.
"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."

Lincecum is a violent injury or Roy Oswalt regression waiting to happen.

I was thinking the same exact thing. With as hard as he throws every pitch, its just a matter of time before he goes Gagne on the Giants and needs multiple Tommy's.

Jenkins obviously wins due to his resemblance to Brett Favre. 8)

well oswalt doesnt have lincecums stuff for one thing so i only exepct lincecums k ratio to improve as he continues to pitch. lincecum pitches like a old school pitcher, he uses his whole body to generate his velocity

Ugh.....please don't believe that all Brewer fans are as homeristic as some of these theads (see Braun/AROD) OPs lead you to believe. We have been so starved of legit talent....homegrown talent that some of us get "Juuuuuust a bit outside" of realistic comparisons. Not that I blame them, I fall too to the RAH of actual MLB star type talent in front of your face here in Milwaukee. YoYo has great stuff. Give him a bit to figure out MLB hitters and he too can show Linny type results....but until then can we hold off on the Ricky Bones=Fernando Valenzuela talk.

While I do think Lincecum is better now, and does have better stuff, I do think it's fairly close. Remember when Lincecum was 21 he was in college striking out 11 and walking 6 per 9, his age 22 season he improved greatly, as Gallardo has a chance of doing.

Okay DB, you got me.....Julio Machado does in fact equal Fernando. (for those that don't get the Benny Hill type dry angle, I AM in no way trying to compare either pitcher in this post to the two mentioned) Naw just messin' YoYo's got the stuff....9-4?....Nice, I haven't checked, but outside of the Colorado debacal and a couple surrounding games...he's been ON. Has the bullpen blown any potential wins? I can think of one for sure, maybe two others...

A total of 3 all year.

For all you haters out there that said this thread was bad and homeristic.
When it comes to pitching I would much rather have a guy with awesome control than just great pitches.

Lincecum has got some wicked stuff but his control is not all the way there and he is 23 whereas YoGo is only 21.

Gallardo in September: 3-0 0.00 ERA over his last 4 starts he is 4-0 with a .64 ERA :o
