Future Ryan Braun Vs. Current A-Rod

A-Rod is the best player in the majors. Let's not forget about that.
However, he's currently in his prime. Ryan Braun is already one of the best third basemen in the NL (hell, the entire majors), and he's only going to get better. I can't believe that some Brewer fans were saying he was the next Pat Listach though.
Both are similar players. Great BA, great power, great speed, great everything. I think that Ryan could be as could. Ryan hits a homerun every 13.1 at-bats, and A-Rod hits a homerun every 10.9 at-bats, and Braun is only in his rookie season.

Dear...lord.
ARod may go down as one of the five-best players in MLB history; Braun has yet to finish his rookie season.

Okay, I'm one of the few people who actually support the ridiculous Braun hype and think he will be incredible. But this is just flat out (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

A-Rod will go down as 10X the player Braun does, I still think Braun has a good career though.

Wow....thats all I have to say is wow.
A-Rod might go down as the best player ever. Right now in his career is a top 10 all timer.
Braun is Great but this comparison is almost as crazy as....well there isn't much that is crazier.

lord.
We already have enough emo kids in the world...but when Ryan Braun comes back down to earth...I believe the correct word would be "apocalypse."

And does a hitter being a 40 home run guy make him ARod? ARod averages over 40 a year, I expect Braun's PEAK to consist of 2 or 3 40 home run seasons. ARod will have more 50 home run seasons that Braun will have 40 homer seasons. Both steal bases, although Braun will never come close to ARod's 40+ when he was younger.
ARod has won gold gloves at baseball's most important defensive position, and should win at least 1 in his career at 3rd if he remains with the Yankees. Braun couldn't win a GG at DH if it existed.
So to answer your question: Yes, I do think Braun will hit 40 home runs in a season in his career. However, a guy can do that and still be nowhere near ARod's level, so I don't see your point. I even said I was one of the few people supporting the Braun hype.

The notion that some Brewers fans think that Braun is going to improve from what he is doing now is laughable. This is his peak, fellas.

Agreed. And he's slowly coming down to earth with his average and all that.
He'll be a nice .300, 30-35 HR guy for years to come
not no .350, 25 HR's in 70 gms or w/e

Once pitchers start to figure him out his home run totals will go down.

Ugh...... why don't you just start a "Current Prince Fielder vs. Past Ted Williams" thread.
I'm happy that Brewers' fans finally have something to cheer about again (well not lately) but, please just stop humping Ryan Braun's leg for half a minute.......please.

I'm going to go make a thread on the Brewers board about how we should be panacing.

There really is no comparison. Braun is amazing but Arod has godly talent.
