Lincecum versus Cueto

Both are small, throw in the mid-90's regularly and have ace written all over them. Cueto's command is considerably better, while Lincecum's curve is a better pitch than Cueto's slider by a bit. Cueto's changeup is better than Lincecum right now, but Lincecum appears to be developing his change and had pretty nasty changeup tonight.
Who is going to be the better pitcher long-term? Tough call for me, but I give a slight edge to Lincecum but that's really only because I'm, admittedly, a Timothy Lincecum fan boy.

I'll take Tim Linecum. He's going to be a true ace in a few years.

I went with Cueto because I am a Reds fan, but I think your post other then who you like more is pretty accurate and spot on. Cueto has looked great in his 2 starts this season. The era has been low and the strikeouts are there. I think he had 8k's to 2 walks in his last start. He is currently leading the National league with 18k's after 2 starts, and his era is 2.03.

Lincecum is the truth. I saw Cueto's first start but every time I see Lincecum pitch, it's just amazing.

Lincecum will be better. But Cueto has a bright future ahead of him
