Tipoff Changes to 2:30; Game Will no Longer be Broadcast on CST

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Hornets announced today that they will make their first appearance of the season on ABC when they face the Detroit Pistons on the road on Sunday, March 16 (the Dallas at Miami game will no longer be televised). Tipoff for the game changes from 5:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Central time). CST will no longer broadcast the game due to NBA contractual obligations that allows ABC to have exclusivety.

This game has been moved to Noon to accomodate the Rockets/Lakers game later that afternoon.

However, ABC has also picked up the Hornets/Warriors game on April 6.

The NBA annouced Tuesday that ABC has picked up the Hornets' game against the Golden State Warriors on April 6 at the New Orleans Arena and changed the tipoff time to noon. This is the third Hornets game ABC has picked up recently.

Also, the Hornets' game Sunday at Detroit, also televised by ABC, has been moved to noon.
