Since there isn't a lot of participation on the trade board from Hornets fans I thought I'd bring this type of thread here.
What do you all think of this idea?
Kings deal:
Ron Artest
Hornets deal:
Julian Wright
Mike James
Hornets become the favorites in the West with Peja/Ron on the wings, Paul leading the break and TC/DW shoring up the frontcourt.
Kings look to rebuild and add a nice piece to replace the departing Ron in their youth movement.

Re: A trade thread?
I've been thinking that it might be good to have Artest in a Hornets uni but his temperamental ways kind of scare me. I'd hate to give up on Wright so soon though so I don't know. I'll have to meditate on this for a little while.

Re: A trade thread?
If we had Ron on like a 3 year contract I might do it, but not for a one year rental. Julian looks like he is going to flourish here, and looks like an all defensive team player who will be perfect running the wings.
I'd love to get rid of Mike James though, so I'd probably do it.

Re: A trade thread?
Artest apparently wants a long term deal (which is the reason behind the whole regret jibber jabber)
Would a S&T Artest say 4-5 years (w/ TO somewhere, or some kind of clause regarding his behavior) interest you guys?
I think all parties would be happy, Artest, Sac, NO.
Paul/Peja/Artest/West/Chandler. lol, that'd be a damm scary lineup, thats extremely extremely big yet still fast due to having Chandler and West. Peja or Artest could come off the bench via a Manu roll during the regular season or depending on matchups.
NO>LAL for sure with this trade

Is this fair value for Rasul Butler?
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &te=&cash=
There was a time when I thought Butler was decent but unless I just haven't seen enough of him he's been kind of garbage like recently.
I posted that trade without New Orleans and New Jersey taking back Sean May and Warriors and Bobcats fans seemed to like it, but the Nets don't want or need Sean May since they have a glut of bigs already.
Am I way undervaluing Butler here or what?
(I also figure that Sean May = Expiring contract at worst and the Hornets get to save a bit of cash if May turns out to be a dud, plus Julian Wright should be getting all of Butler's minutes anyway...)
Also on an unrelated note is there any interest in Nenad Krstic?

I've seen some fans on another Hornet forum show interest in Krstic. I think he could possibly help the Hornets. Rasual didn't do a d*mn thing this season. His shooting was awful and most of the 2nd half he was benched. They can't seem to be able to get rid of Rasual. He certainly didn't earn $3+mil this season.

Ron Artest could be a likely rental player so be careful.
