I've seen little information about his status in free agency other than he wants a three year deal.
I know he's an URFA, but do you guys think the Hornets will resign him? If so, what's the hold up; is he asking for too much money?

I'd like to know the answer to these questions too. I caught a glimpse of Pargo over the 4th of July weekend. I should've tried to ask him. I'm kind of hoping they re-sign him. The last time he opted out, they didn't re-sign him until almost the 2nd week in August so maybe they'll do it sometime around then, IF they're going to do it.

Given the Hornets salary situation they'll have to resign him, my guess is they're waiting it out, hoping he doesnt get any offers, so they have more leverage, after all, he is just a streak shooter takes a shot a minute, lol.

figured id post this here. i wouldnt be worried about anything here though. jeff mcdonald is horrible, and doesnt even get the financial facts straight in this article. spurs only have about 2 mil to offer, and i cant see pargo agreeing to anything near that.
mysa.com wrote:The rumor in one Western Conference front office Monday afternoon had it that Pargo was about to agree to -- or perhaps already had agreed to -- a deal that would have brought the backup point guard to San Antonio.
Ah, but not so fast.
Pargo's agent, Mark Bartelstein, acknowledged ongoing talks with the Spurs, but said his client has yet to agree to a deal with anyone.
"The Spurs speak for themselves," Bartelstein said Monday. "It's a great place to play. They are limited in what they can do financially, but we are definitely talking to them."

Hornets Unlikely To Re-Sign Pargo

He was awesome last year, he had some game winning shots and without him they would have never beat PHX in some games. What is wrong with the Hornets? Pargo is a great perimeter shooter. I think that when the Spurs are chasing one of your players it's not very smart to let that player go. Is this because Posey signed on?
