Your guys' roster as of right now

Post#1 » by ChadBC » Sat Aug 16, 2008 1:30 am

Chris Paul
David West
Tyson Chandler
Peja Stojakovic
James Posey
Morris Peterson
Rashual Butler
Mike James
Melvin Ely
Julian Wright
Hilton Armstrong
Ryan Bowen

That is pathetic. That's 12 players. And who knows if they're gonna resign Bonzi, but most likely not. You guys need some help on the bench, though it's been said enough. There are plenty of options out there, just to give you guys some depth. Carl Landry? Shaun Livingston?

Do you guys think you don't have to make any moves because the roster is fine? Or do you think there should be some incoming bench players coming in?

I'm only concerned about the roster when training camp begins. I don't know why people feel the need to dissect rosters midway through the offseason anyways. I think they'll fill 2 more spots before training camp. I'll revisit this thread then. I don't know why people just assume the Hornets offseason is over. I don't know who all is still available but I think they should get another pg and pf.

No, I wasn't meaning it like that. That's why I offered a couple of guys who would really help out this club. I just wanted to see where you guys stand on the roster as of now.

The pickings may be getting a bit slim but like I said I haven't looked much into how many players are still out there but I'm sure Bower knows the Hornets need at least 2 more players. They usually only go into the season with 14 players. I think Carl Landry would be a nice backup to David West. As far as another point guard, I'm not really sure. I'm scared of watching Shaun Livingston to be honest. Because I swear if I'm watching a game and that guy hurts himself, I'll throw up in my mouth.

Here is a list of current free agents:

Some of them are out of date, obviously. But, you get the idea.

As for a PG. There really isn't a lot to choose from. You've got Salim Stoudamire, but he's much more of a SG and you already got Mike James for that. I suppose you could look into Damon Stoudamire also but currently the Suns are looking to get him.

I wouldn't be surprised if they brought Devin Brown back although he's not really a point guard. I wonder how Juan Dixon would do under Byron Scott. Thanks for the list. Whoever they get will probably be more of a two guard than a true point guard. Are the Cavs going to re-sign Delonte West now that they have Mo Williams?

It is believed West will take the QO and play for one more year with Cavs. He would be a good addition, though.

I'm not 100% happy with the roster yet either. Landry would be a dream come true, but we cant afford him. We'll end up picking up some left overs from other teams rosters who get cut.,
