Re: Det/Noh/POR
Wow... I literally don't know what to say b/c I never thought/heard of this before. The trades adequately address certain needs for all of the teams involved but having Sheed for half a season would slightly change the way we set up offensively.Sheed would probably take Peja's place as the spot up shooter in the Starting 5 & Julian would be more involve with the pick & rolls in order to go above the rim like Tyson.David West would still pick & pop/post occasionally, our bench would get better with Rasual on the bench, & Devin Brown/Posey/Antonio Daniels could play defense on the stronger PG/SG/& SF's.... I think our post defense/rebounding will be negatively affected
BUT it would give us a very good SG & allow Julian/Hilton to get more minutes. (& if you don't know I'm rather prejudice towards Julian having success). I say if Detroit takes Mo Pete, throws us Kwame Brown (yeah I know), Portland replaces Raef with Frye&Webster,we give Portland Ryan Bowen, & get another big man from Portland like Ike Diogu I could almost see it happening...Maybe...B/c although we'd have arguable the best back-court in the league,it's a gamble. Centers are hard to find these days & although we have CP3,which could attract good bigmen,if Sheed were to leave through free agency we'd be left with Hilton,Kwame,& Melvin Ely... Which doesn't need any further analysis...But anyway this how each team would look after my tweaks
Detroit
Rodney Stucky/Will Bynum/Alex Acker
Iverson/Aaron Afflalo/Mo Pete
Prince/Walter Hermann/Webster
Antonio Mcdyess/Maxiell/Walter Sharpe
Tyson Chandler/Channing Frye/Amir Johnson
Portland
Steve Blake/Sergio Rodriguez/Jarryd Bayless
Roy/Rudy Fernandez
Peja/Travis Outlaw/Batum
Aldridge/Ryan Bowen/Shevlik Randolph
Oden/Przbilla/& Lafrentz (Still excellent trade bait for another decent SG & PF to fill out their roster)
New Orleans
CP3/Antonio Daniels
Rip/Rasual Butler/Devin Brown
Posey/Ju/Sean Marks/Anthony Tolliver
D. West/Hilton/Diogu
Sheed/Kwame/Melvin Ely

Tyson for Sheed was mentioned in the past, I don't like it. Even though Tyson is under producing this year I think its too risky to rent-a-Sheed for half a season and watch him bolt only to have no cap space and no starting center. So New Orleans says NO.

Re: Det/Noh/POR
I'd at least think about it, if only to get out of Peja's contract.

I don't think Detroit does the revised trade, simply because I devised this trade with the ultimate goal of still having freed up capspace to acquire Boozer and become Stuckey/Afflalo/Tayshaun/Boozer/Chandler but I can certainly see why New Orleans fans would be hesitant to do this deal.

Re: Det/Noh/POR
I'm not huge on this deal for Portland. Peja's a nice player, but we're probably looking for someone slightly younger in an SF (preferable 26-28 give or take a year or so).

Re: Det/Noh/POR
Shouldn't Portland be getting a pick, not giving one up?
Peja's got a big contract, is pretty one-dimensional and doesn't play a lick of D. On top of all that, his numbers are starting to take a noticeable drop. I seriously doubt the Blazers would have a ton of interest in him. In fact, I'd question if they'd even be willing to just do a straight up swap of Raef's contract for Peja.
