(1) TRADE NOH and GSW

Hornets sends to GSW - West, Peja, Julian Wright, Pick

GSW sends to NOH - Jackson, Maggette, Crawford, Wright

(change of heart on the CLEV trade see below)

(2) TRADE NOH and CHAR

NOH sends to CHAR - Peterson (nearly identical contracts and Mohammed wants out and NOH needs some front court depth)

CHAR sends to NOH - Mohammed

FREE AGENTS

Sign Marks to 1 year $1,200,000 deal

PG - Paul - Daniels - Devin Brown
SG - Jackson - Crawford - Butler
SF - Maggette - Posey
PF - Armstrong - Brendan Wright - Marks
C - Chandler - Mohammed

That puts them at approx $79,500,000 - I know their ownership is looking to cut cost but this makes them competitive now and with CP3 that is imperative to keep him happy and with this lineup the Hornets could run the floor with CP and they get 3 players that create shots to go with Paul that is dangerous, 3 players that can get to the rim and the foul line, a deeper bench with 3 legit scoring threats. They would be a bit thin in the front court in terms of scoring, but if Chandler is healthy he should get plenty of lobs and alley opps with this offense. Also they shoulld be able to defend and rebound better, Mohammed is also a plus rebounder when he is active and in the regular rotation and a healthy Chandler will help. If B. Wright can develop he will be a nice scoring punch off the bench. Not much scoring from the bigs but with CP, Jackson, Maggette, Crawford, and Posey scoring should not be a concern.

Coming off the books after next seasons would be Daniels ($6.6 mill) Butler ($3.9 mill) and two minimum deals. That would be enough to make a run at a solid PF in Haslem maybe 3 years at $7 million per. And then go ahead and resign your two minimum players to minimum deals (Marks and Brown). Then have about 3 million to find a back up PG, Speedy Claxton, he has played for NOH for Scott and knows the system, and would fit perfectly.

Paul Claxton
Jackson Crawford Brown
Maggette Posey Wright
Haslems Armstrong
Chandler Mohammed Marks

That would put the roster at approx $79 million
