David West - Is a trade possible?

Post#1 » by Padawan » Mon Jun 29, 2009 4:50 pm

I'm just checking to see if you guys are open to the idea of trading David West.

From Chicago:

Jerome James ( and that insurance )
Tim Thomas
Tyrus Thomas
Chcago's pick in 2010

From NO Hornets:

David West
Mo Peterson

You get the pick, the cap relief and Thomas to see if he becomes the kind of player he can become or to let him go in 1 or 2 years. Tim Thomas might play some minutes for you and Tyrus i think would be a beast with a PG like Chris Paul.

You trade away Mo Pete also.

Is it enough? Is there a better offer for West?

From what I keep hearing, West isn't going anywhere. At least not this season. I heard Scott say it recently and Ric Bucher recently said in his Twitter that West isn't available.

Not for David West but I've sometimes wondered how Tyrus would be as a Hornet. Would definitely bring more athleticism to the team. That 2010 pick might be nice too. :)

My question is: do you think this trade is fair?

West might be available for some fair value... I don't think the Bulls can offer you guys more than this but maybe a team like the Thunder might...
