No big man has done it since Karl Malone in 1990, by the way

I think that will depend on how long Jrue and Tyreke are gonna be out.
As long as the Pels have no viable 2nd Option AD will keep getting all the Shots.

No, more like 27. He would have to play 39-40 minutes per game to average 30, I think he'll average more like 36 minutes.

His rebounding will probably improve, though. I can see him averaging over 12 rpg.

When Jrue, Tyreke, Hield, and Born Ready either get healthy or get consistent PT Davis' load will significantly decrease. I'm thinking 27-28 a game will be where he's at. He could average 30 on pretty good efficiency if he needed to.

It's only early, but it looks like he has made significant progress offensively creating his own shots off isos and hitting them. Although neither GSW or Denver were very good defensively. Let's see how he goes against SAS tomorrow.

25.9 is more realistic for me. 30 is an extremely hard barrier to hit

He might, if he stays healthy. Not a lot of scoring options on his team, so he might have to.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

It depends, if hes still averaging 35+ at the end of november, i think he'll top the 30 mark, even with his usage and ppg going down due to returning players.

Not after Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans return. But he'll also have be playing alongside two NBA-calibre players.

Thinking high 20s.

Yea.. IDK... could he? Sure.

Will he? I doubt it. At some point I think he'll just get tired scoring at that kind of pace. Fatigue will set in, or he'll get some sort of nagging injury from being overplayed.

He's more than capable on this Pelican's team, but I'm not sure it will actually happen in the end.

Does it matter if he's not winning?

Why is putting up big numbers on bad teams praised when Davis does it, but criticized when others do?

Gets praised for big numbers. Blame is deflected from him for losses because of his trash teammates.

Of course if he had good teammates then his numbers would be affected as another solid big man would grab a lot of rebounds and a solid guard would carry a lot more of the scoring load.

No.

He'll average 40.

In the first half.

Not saying he should be blamed or that it's not impressive. Just saying it doesn't mean as much if it doesn't lead to wins.

What's your point. Obviously AD isn't going to put up 40 and 15 for a good team, but he can still average 25 and 10 with good teammates.

Can't have it both ways. Go on and on about his amazing numbers and ignore the fact that his team is losing.

LeBron carried a pretty mediocre Cavs team to the finals which was much more impressive than whatever AD has done in a couple of games.

Return to New Orleans Pelicans
