I was surprised how bad their D had been during the pre-season. Just couldn't stop penetration even against scrub Pels team or the Hawks. Still not sold on pace thing, feels like they always play fast during pre-season and then finish in the bottom of the league.

Dragic looked old, but that's how he always starts, I guess.

Other than that, I don't have any new conclusions from pre season. Wade's old, Hassan can't guard stretch bigs, Winslow's not agressive enough and Bam not taking 3s. Team looks the same.

I'm a bit nitpicky but I saw a few more improvements from a few key guys

Winslow didn't get there much but he initiated a lot more contact on drives than I'm used to seeing him do, where he has the largest room for growth offensively besides playmaking.

McGruder opened pandora's box with his Whiteside PnR, who knew Honey Badgers were so patient

And Rich, while it's minimal, cleaned up some of his handle(Least he's trying to dribble lower), picking his spots and has refined his release

Good signs from them. Don't know what to say about Tyler, doesn't look worthy of mins(Although he played the 5th most mins on the team last year)

Rich played 2 pre-season games against absolute garbage teams, that's just not enough for me.

Winslow looked better at finishing, I agree.

Agreed about Gruder, tho I'm not sure we will see a lot of p'n'rs from him in the reg szn

I'm a bit offish about the comp that Rich played too but he looked really fluid. He does tend to have hot shooting spells like that from time to time. I won't really be bought until he figures out how to get to the line or finish in traffic consistently, which his handle might prevent him from doing
