Some in NO's may not want that pick to land in the 11-15 range to potentially convey a higher pick to Memphis becsause of it's percieved value in trade.I disagree with that logic because whether the pick at that point is 11 or 30, it's a sunken cost for NO's either way.

Except, in the 10-15 range, there's still opportunity, though slim, for lotto luck.. Where NO's were thinking they might be handing Memphis a late pick, they're in position for lotto luck to land top 4 in this upcoming draft, with a pick that's not theirs.

I caught the Knicks/Lakers game because a win there would have meant Lakers/No's holding the 10th pick. After Knicks went up 20 3rd Q, Lakers comeback like the Heat game/win I watched was predicated on the refs giving them favor on both ends. Fouls & non fouls. a Loose defensive whistle the reason their defense was getting credit 2nd half & then tight whistle, why they were getting to the line which inevitably tilts the games momentum. It's not the same whistle for both sides..

For an example, Russ was on a 2 man break with the Lakers down 10. He forearms his defender clearly in the open court, in front of the ref which should have been an offensive foul, ignored, that momentum shift is the difference betwee Knicks going back up 12/13 & being up only 8. (2 -3) calls like that you erase a 20pt defciite pretty quickly if the team you're favoring catches that momentum shift..

Same way Heat dominated the Lakers start to finish but had to fight for the win end game after being up as much as 30 3rd Q, BS.

Abundantly clear, to beat the Lakers, you also have to beat the officials. Just doesn't bode well for their ratings to not have LA/Lebron in their PO picture.

How many 20pt deficit wins have the Lakers had to surmount for their sub 500 record, lol, pathetic & the reasoni why Stars flop more than anybody.

Last nights lost was eased by the fact Washington edged the Nets to pull even with LA for the 11th pick & Knicks, also beat an unlikely opponent in GS to move within a half game for the 10th pick.

Then LA faces GS,

Could be fun day for NO fans.. Their management might still luck out after forcing several of their assets behind less than ideal targets.
