Mose is a good choice for you guys...great guy, players love him, solid coach for building the defensive and overall culture from the ground up. I'm thinking he'd love to supplement his teachings with a couple of his own dawgs, ready to quickly establish that defensive program...most notably, one-man culture...Jalen Suggs.
Was wondering...how much of a PG is Dejounte Murray? and...is he recovered and ready to go. I assume NOLA goes forward with Fears regardless.
IF Murray is healthy and motivated to contend (in the East at least) and excited to play with his former Seattle protege, Paolo (forget that 'beef' BS, that was nothing in their bigger picture), maybe he's the answer. He's presently a deep negative value, so ORL could clearly ask for more than a straight swap. The whole point is not, imo, who is better - Suggs or Murray? It's who can bring out the best in Paolo, Franz & Bane without sinking the defense under Sweeney...chemistry wins games, not trade value 'wins'. This, imo, helps both teams get where they're going on their respective timelines.
ORL sends: Jalen Suggs, Goga Bitadze ($7m expiring, solid backup)
NOLA sends: Dejounte Murray, Yves Missi, 27 frp swap
That pick swap is a big deal...but so is Suggs, imo, and getting off of Murray's deal for NOLA...and, it's a swap, not just losing a pick.
