@ Golden State
@ Phoenix
Vs LA Lakers
Win all 3, then we have a croozy run through the end of Jan, chance to build a buffer in the conference standings? If we beat Phoenix it'll be the third time this season, Lakers would be 2 from 2 this year, Golden State is just pensky around the 7th, 8th seed.

Yeah, this should be a good "measuring stick" stretch of games. I think there will be a lot of people interested in the GS/NO given where both teams sit in the standings. I personally think the Hornets are better than GS but a lot of people seem to think otherwise. People are still expecting the Hornets to go on a stretch where they lose 15 out of 20 or something, really amazing. Unless they know something about upcoming injuries, I don't know where they come up with their numbers.
Bottom line, this will be a good stretch...not a tell-all though. I'm still sweating over their final stretch of the year: 10/14 games on the road. 12-5 on the road so far though, so maybe it won't be so bad.
I'm hoping for 2-1 in this 3-game stretch. 1-2 would be acceptable, 3-0 would open a lot of eyes.

It will give us an idea of how tough our players are, especially mentally.

Peja really stepped up tonight, he had the look about him as if he knew he needed to carry an extra load with DX out. He was aggressive, looking for his shot as well as hitting the open shots. 23 points on 50% shooting goes a long way.

Beating the Suns on the road w/o DX is whoa!

We're a few weeks away from the half way mark of the season and 3 games seperate 1st and 7th in the West. Every win against these playoff contenders is so vital and I love the fact we haven't stumbled so far this week.
The Lakers are looking good right now, if we can beat them it'll be a huge effort. San Antonio are only 1 game ahead of us right now, I think we play them at the end of January, we really need to prove that we can beat the elite in the regular season if anyones gonna consider us a threat to take out the West. Fingers crossed we can go on a run heading into San Antonio and pull out a win. Imagine seeing the Hornets on top of the Western Conference?!?!
