Oh brother. Not like the Hornets haven't beaten the Warriors before but I'm glad they got the win against the Clippers because I'm not sure how I feel about this one and the upcoming game against the Suns. Baron & company will try to take their frustrations from their loss to the Mavs out on the Hornets and Baron will want to shine against his former team. Here's hoping for good play from all Hornets and they get out of Oakland with a win. LET'S GEAUX HORNETS!!

Expecting to see more bench play in this one, Warriors will probably do the small ball thing from time to time. Julian will probably see some time after getting a DNP against LAC.

Win the points in the paint and rebounding battle and the odds of winning skyrocket.

I feel this may be Hornets hardest team to play in the last 10 games. I guess this will prove a lot if they win this game. Not that Hornets cant win both GS and Suns game, but they need to save energy for one of the games. If they game goes out of hand, the last quarter needs to be resting your starters time. But i think Chris Paul wont give these games up too easily given he is the POTM. Nice Matchups with B Diddy and Nash for CP3. David West will have a harder time as well...

Watch for Pega and Rasul to go off with open shots. Hornets also need a lot of activity from Tyson and they cant let him get into foul trouble, for real he can man handle AB.

West will have to run the floor more, sure, but he should have no problem scoring. Neither GS nor PHX has a defender who can realistically hold DX down.

I rather enjoyed the previous matchup between CP and Nash. It would be nice to finish with the same results.

TheStar.com wrote:Of course Mo Peterson likes it here. After all, he considers himself something of a gourmand.

"I've been eating good," the ex-Raptor said yesterday morning, after a series of hugs and handshakes for old friends. "Eating a lot of gumbo, a lot of shrimp."

Peterson, who left the Raptors after seven seasons to join the Hornets as a free agent last summer, has taken to his new digs as well as he took to Toronto. His mom was born and raised a short ways away in Picayune, Miss., he's got family and friends in the area and he's found a comfortable role with his new team.

He's becoming more active in a community still ravaged by the effects of Hurricane Katrina, a job he does well and with pleasure, and his familiarity with the area made it easy to choose between here and Utah when both teams were wooing him.

"I went down to Utah and it just didn't feel right," said Peterson. "When I came here, especially growing up a little bit down here ... I was a little bit more comfortable with it. Give my family and some friends a chance to see me more."

Peterson averages about nine points, three rebounds and 26 minutes a game for the Hornets, having cemented himself as a starter from the beginning of the season. He's finding it a bit of a change moving to the West after spending his entire career in the Eastern Conference with the Raptors.

"The tempo is a little faster," he said. "They approach offence a little more differently. The East is probably a little more physical but the West surprised me, it's more physical than I thought it was."

Unlike last season in Toronto, when he bounced from bench to starter far too often for his liking, Peterson said he enjoys his consistent job with the Hornets.

"I like my role, you know, coach (Byron Scott) is helping me feel a lot more comfortable as the season progresses," he said.

MoPete likes the food and the Hornets, too

Looking forward to the game tonight. I see the Warriors/Hornets season series as key to both teams. If the Hornets win this one on the road that would be huge for you.

Hopefully we can make it 2-straight tonight. Best of luck to both teams.

BTW 2poor, where did you get those team graphics from? Very cool.

I'd love to face GSW in the playoffs. No offense to them, but over the course of a series, the rebounding, and David West abusing them in the post would be too much.
