NOLA.com wrote:Almost everything for the Hornets is likely to be a little off today: the time they wake up, their pregame routines, the meals they consume and the anticipation of the game.
The Hornets, who are on a four-game winning streak, hope will be hoping their play doesn't suffer as a result of today's 2:30 p.m. tipoff against the Milwaukee Bucks.
"It changes the approach, because a lot of times guys have certain routines that they go through, and that kind of throws a wrench in it," Hornets center Tyson Chandler said.
Today's game is the only one scheduled during the day at the New Orleans Arena in the regular season. The Hornets set the early starting time on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, also calling it Kids Day at the Hive, to allow children 12 and under to get in free with an adult's paid admission and a coupon downloadable on the team's Web site.
The Hornets played their first day game of the season Jan. 13, an 87-82 win at the Houston Rockets.
"I think you're more programmed to play at night, because that's how all of the schedules are," Hornets Coach Byron Scott said Sunday. "When you get to the playoffs, though, you have more day games. For us, I was interested to see how we were going to react to a day game in Houston. We reacted pretty well. Knowing what we're playing for and what's at stake, I think we'll react well tomorrow as well."
Bobby Jackson will miss today's game, and possibly up to a week, with a hamstring strain he suffered against Charlotte.
