Hornets home attendance trending up, but has some work left

Avg for Dec 07 - 11606 - 79% of 14735 target
Avg for Jan 08 - 12689 - 86%
Avg for Feb 08 thru Wiz game last night - 13297 - 90%
The Hornets need to avg 16944 or 96% of capacity in the remaining home games to get on target. So far they have had more than that only 3 times, but 2 of those were this month... obviously that won't happen but the closer they get to target rest of this season the easier it will be to beat it when counting next seasons 41 home dates...
Lets go Hornets fans, pick it up! Keep the team in the Big Easy!

i'm doing my part
been to 8 games so far, PHI, ORL, DET, LAL, SEA, DEN, GS, and DAL in that order
then i'm going to see phoenix and boston, plus probably two or three others
hornets said only two games the rest of the season weren't selling, i'm guessing atlanta and chicago.

Just the traffic on the forum is a telltale sign of the growing love of the Hornets.

as i say on the other forum, i'm proud to be one of the fans at the 8,302 game.
if you weren't at at least one game under 11k (i've been to three such games), you shouldn't call yourself as big a fan as someone who has

I don't know the numbers, but I was at a pretty empty game against Seattle. Still was fairly loud.

This really make me proud, because I've been there since day 1. I was there when I couldn't enjoy the game because I started focusing on the empty seats. Enough of that, because we're moving on up.

The benchmark average set by Shinn from December 1 was 14,735.
Total from December 1 to now:
14,738!

90% renewal rate on existing season ticket holders, and so far 2,300 new season ticket holders for next season.
Oh, and they also announced that going into this season, losses were expected to be around $20 million dollars. Currently, the Hornets will
at worst break even.
you know what to do naysayers.

I read somewhere that George was trying to renegotiate the lease to actually remove the attendance requirements that he got last time. Anybody else read that?

Yeah, that was back around the all-star break. Supposedly they would meet again in the off-season with the new Governor and hammer out a new long-term deal that doesn't have the attendance benchmarks.
