Hey, I'm gonna write an article on rivalries and I wanted some feedback.
I was hoping that you could give me a list of the team you would consider your rival, scale that rivalry 1-10, and your most hated player in the league (on any team).
Thanks.

As a Hornets fan from Australia I'm prolly not the best to ask, but i'll give it a shot:
I think Utah is quite a rival at the moment, I mean the Jazz's franchise left New Orleans, their team has the upper hand in our matchups of late, theres the Cp3 Vs Deron thing, so a few pieces of rivalry there, i'd rate it a 7/10 rivalry
Houston/New Orleans was a rivalry on NBA video games, but I'm not really sure why, division rivals perhaps? Unless anyone has anything else on that, rivalry rated 1/10.
EDIT: Oh, and most hated player by the Hornets franchise... Maybe Zo or JR Smith, lol. If only Smith didn;t do so much crack, he and Cp3 coulda been the best backcourt in the NBA... oh wait, that was Chris Andersen on crack... wait, Chris Andersen signed with Denver after JR Smith got traded there, maybe JR is Andersen's crack dealer!

Hornets don't really have any real rivalries. Like CTFP said some might say it's Utah because of the franchise once being in New Orleans and because they usually have the Hornets' number but the Hornets have been having the Suns' number lately but I don't think it would make me consider them a rivalry. I don't think the Hornets have any real rivalries Sorry not to be more fun.

Maybe a rivalry will develop this season.

I think the Hornets definitely have rivalries in the NBA. IF I had to choose our biggest rival it would have to be the Spurs. How many times has Bruce Bowen came out and attacked our players, or step on the shoes trying to break their ankles, then of course the big moment last year when Bowen attacked Chris Paul while going for a loose ball would definitely spark a rivalry. Along with Bruce Bowen's insanity (I absolutely hate Bruce Bowen) the Spurs have been the dominate force in our division and also knocked us out of the playoffs last year in game 7. The Spurs would HAVE to be our rivals after last season. Another minor rivalry in my opinion is the Dallas Mavericks. Another team in our division who usually beat us until last year when the hornets broke our losing streak in Dallas. Also don't forget how aggressive the two teams were in the first round of the playoffs last year, like when Dirk Nowitzki hit David West in the mouth and David West got in his face and kinda slapped him a little. Also when Dirk and Chandler started to go at it, then when Jason Kidd flipped Janero Pargo, slamming him onto the hard wood. Last years playoffs started a few rivalries such as the Cavs and Wizards, Celtics and Hawks, and now in my opinion a new found rivalry with the Hornets and the Spurs and Mavericks.
i would rate our rivalry with San Antonio an 8/10 and the Dallas rivalry a 7/10

You make some good points regarding the playoffs last year, and I think those episodes could spark rivalries with those teams, but I think we need a repeat of that in the regular season and/or playoffs this year to really call them a legitimate rivalry, everyone plays hard and tough in the playoffs, so you can't really base a rivalry on one series.
