What would you guys want for David West?
Remember that you need to save your owner some money and Chandler became harder to trade after that failed medical.
What would be a good offer for you?

Trade ID #5067745
I don't know about west or chandler(love to have him though)
but I want your: armstrong and rasual butler for scalabrine tony allen and jr.gidden and a draft pick
mainly for size I'd hate getting rid of scalabrine and allen and a pick but for the lack of better words we are super small right now.
not a troll I only hate the lakers.
Do you guys not like west or something?

ummm, ok, the Boston offer is garbage, utter garbage.
As for the Hornets "needing" to shed salary thats just a media myth, the owner has recently said they will pay the lux tax next year and have another run at contending, so no, we're not trading our best contracts (West/CP3/Butler/Armstrong) for garbage prospects, bench warmers, late 1st round draft picks, and whatever else you feel your team could steal from us because we're apparently going under financially.
/thread.

Ouch... the kitten has claws.
Anyway, you may be willing to pay the tax, but there must be some level of financial restrain going on there. The media may hype it up, but they wouldn't just invent the story from nothing. Anyway, I'm a Bulls fan, and I was wondering what it would take for you guys to trade West. OK, maybe you're not going down like the Titanic financially, but you must be looking to save money on some level. Would you be interested in a package featuring Tyrus Thomas or Joakim Noah, along with expiring contract(s) and/or 1st round pick(s)?

Rudy Gay, Darell Arthur, and the #6 pick for West, Posey, and the Hornets first round pick.

I'd say that's too much but it depends on how much Memphis values Gay ( and Arthur ).
Hornets fans please answer me this: if money isn't an issue why did the organization would trade Tyson Chandler for 2 expiring bigs?
I'd say young talent + cap relief + some picks would do it. That Chicago would be a good one if the Bulls could agree to take back maybe Mo Pete or some other bad contract.

Padawan: They felt Chandler was past his best and injuries would be a continuous concern for him, Shinn doesn't like keeping injured players, hes been burnt too many times in the past, Tyson was also only putting 8pts & 8rebs at that point, so there wasn't a great deal of interest in him, and yes, getting the expiring deals would have put us under the lux and also given us the oppotunity to take on a little more salary in future moves. Now that the rest of the season has played out the mission will be to increase Chandler's trade value, by getting him healed over the offseason and have the team come out firing next year.
The Next Big Thing: I'd love nothing more than to watch CP3 lob to Tyrus all night long, it would prolly have to be something centered around Tim Thomas + Tyrus for West, but not sure how well it would work for the Hornets due to their lack of post-up players, Tyrus isn't ready to be a low post banger, so not sure it would be an improvement for the Hornets, but I like the idea on a few levels.
Downtown: If Memphis can take Chandler + West for Gasol/Arthur/Milicic/#6 that could be a nice rebuilding move for NO

I don't think Arthur, Milicic, and the #6 pick is a problem. But they really, really like Gasol. And remember he was the key piece coming back in the Lakers trade for his brother so I don't think they would trade him as it would signal an even worse beating in that deal. There are some big egos within GM circles. I also have to believe that OKC screwed things for your team by not taking Chandler. Rightly or wrongly, it sent a big red flag around the league and I suspect every other GM is going to be very guarded in regards to Tyson. Just for that same ego reason I can't see the Grizzlies Gm switching Gasol for Chandler.

As a person that follows the Grizzlies, I think giving up that #6 pick is too much.
Give upthe Magic's pick and good deal. Maybe even add Magic's and Lakers' pick.

Hornets fans - I was curious if there was any type of package that the team might be interested in (if any) from the Nets (ex. Harris & Lopez), should they decide to move David West. Just curious what your thoughts are. Thanks.

Doubt it, Carter is too expensive and long of a deal
