Craig Smith for Julian Wright

-What is the opinion of hornets fans on this trade?

I think it's a little too early to give up on Julian Wright. I'd like to see him as a Hornet a little longer.

Is Craig Smith a tweener? Undersized to be a PF?

Yes he is, Craig Smith is only 6'7 very undersized
and i dont like that deal either...I think Julian is better than him, with more upside

Smith is great on offense but I think he needs to be on a team with a good shot blocker he's a 10.1 ppg a game guy with a .562 fg% I like him but we got a lot power forwards and he's the only one beside Al and Love thats got decent value he also he fouls a lot.

Smith draws a high rate of fouls, and if he made more than 66.5 percent from the line he'd be a more potent weapon. Still, he created a bunch of shots while hardly ever initiating them, ranking 20th among power forward in usage rate, and he was efficient with those shots, ranking 8th in TS%.

Smith stands just 6-7 but is pushing three bills -- obviously, conditioning is a huge issue. His girth already gives him problems at the defensive end, where quick forwards just blow by him and he doesn't have the dexterity to cover screen-and-rolls or help in time from the weak side. As a center, his lack of shot-blocking and rebounding was also a problem, not to mention the fact he was nearly half a foot shorter than the players he was trying to guard in the post.

Offensively, he's fairly skilled and could be a potent scorer if he dropped the pounds. Smith has a decent midrange shot, can beat defenders with a quick drive to his right hand, can make teardrops over bigger players and has a great knack for finishing shots at the basket.
