As a Red Sox fan you can keep the guy. I'm sure someone would be intrested at some point tho.

i want the old shawn green who did amazing. and by old, i mean before the day he decided to get super jewish and celebrate some jewish holiday ending his consecutive games played streak. What a selfish player, putting his religion over his job...for shame

I'd give the Mets Pat Burrell(Met killer) for the guy with a broken foot. The Phillies got guys on the bench better than Burrell, but are too cheap to bench Burrell and play the young players.

I think Green would be perfect for an AL team who needs a DH, he isnt much of a power threat anymore but he'll hit to all fields and drive in runs.

Rationality will now speak!
There is nothing wrong with celebrating a holiday - whatever the religion - instead of going to work. The streak doesn't matter, the game doesn't matter... at least... it isn't so important that you have to go off and read from 'Protocols of the Elders of Zion' to us is it?
I loved Green when he and King Carlos were bashing homers left... left center ... and well center left.

Can Shawn Green play eight more seasons (including this one) to age 40, and average 25 HRs a season until that time? That will give him 500 HRs, and Green will make the HOF if he does that.
