Marlins trade Jorge Julio to Rockies for Byung-Hyun Kim

Less than two months after taking a chance on Jorge Julio to be their closer, the Marlins traded the struggling reliever to the Colorado Rockies for submarine pitcher Byung-Hyun Kim on Sunday.

Julio's last pitch for the Marlins marked a fitting ending to his tenure - a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning to Ryan Zimmerman that ended Saturday's 7-3 loss.

Traded from Arizona for pitcher Yusmeiro Petit on March 26, Julio finished 0-2 with a 12.54 ERA and two blown saves in 10 games.

Julio has really been horid this year both teams are just hoping a change will kick start these players.

Meh.

Don't see either of these guys impacting their new teams in a good way. Most likely both in a bad way.

Isn't Kim on the DL? I thought he was..

Julio has been a complete train wreck this season

I think both GMs got drunk together and decided to make a trade.
