By trading for him, most likely.

Is he really needed?

Yes he is needed. Duaner Sanchez isnt coming back anytime soon and we need a dominant set up man badly.

give me carlos gomez, its probably asking for to much but he's been great this year and we need a starting outfielder for the next 10 years b/c right now no one is solidified to be a starter in our outfield. its pretty much all platoon out there.

I'd say the Rangers would be wanting some of your young pitching prospects also.

I'll give you Jorge Sosa for Gagne.

and i'll give you a dick slap for proposing something so stupid.

gagne has value and for that vaule in return we'd like players who have actual futures not AAAA pitchers that are 30.

Jorge Sosa is 30 but has only pitched about 740 innings in his major/minor league career.

It's sad, really is. He'd be your ace.

Sosa would get ripped into shreds in the American League. He's definitely not better than Kevin Milwood.

Don't he want to stay a closer? Trading for him would be a little useless if he does.

Yeah I see no reason at all to trade for Gagne, if anything Lidge should be the guy we target.

Isn't Lidge done for the year or something?

gagne is a closer and i seriously doubt he would want to be a setup man. just seems like a wasted move who the mets really need starters

Mets dont need starting pitching.

I'll be very confident going into the playoffs with a rotation of John Maine, Tom Glavine, El Duque and Oliver Perez. And Hell if Pedro swears how good he is doing, and continues his great rehab (threw 45 pitches last rehab, throwing all his pitches) I am confident in my team's SP. RP scares me, only 2 guys have been reliable throughout the entire year, Wagner and Pedro Feliciano.
