Wondering what these three guys would go for? Pitching Prospects? OF Prospects? Angels have a deep system and have a lot of good young guys.

I feel that the Mets could use either Figgins or Kendrick as a second basemen since I have no faith in Valentine, Gotay or Easley. Also I really like Quinlan and feel that he would be an ideal backup First Basemen for the Mets.

So the question is, what is the price?

Don't think theres a way you get Howie, because it would have to involve that guy at 3rd base, and that ain't happening.

So something like Figgins and Quinlan for Milledge, seems pretty fair, not sure though, people can value players so differently. Plus Milledge is hurt and his value seems to be at an all-time low, so maybe Figgins himself might be enough, too hard to say.

Although that means that the Angels would have to call Wood back up to play 3rd and I'm not sure if they want to do that, yet.

Just my thoughts.

Figgins is an incredibly overrated player whose fantasy value dupes people into believing he's a legitimate MLB regular.

On any serious contender, he should be nothing more than speed off the bench.

Yes, but some GMs still believe in speed. Like I said, people value players very differently. I personally would rather have Milledge, but Milledge's stock is plummeting and Figgins is that kinda versitle player who has speed who some GMs love. Theres no secret there are some GMs who value speed too much, so the trading of someone like Chone could get value all over the board.

Exactly how is Milledge's stock plummeting?

He turned 22 in April and the only reason why he hasnt been up in the majors is because he injured his foot, he is rehabbing now also.

OMG, Milledge is hurt? It's not like I already said that.

Let me ask you, was Milledge's value higher at this point last year or now?

I like Milledge and wish the Cards could somehow get him from the Mets, but his stock is lower than what it should be now. His rap CD really isn't helping his "rep" too, although I could careless, people do care about that sort of stuff. Some people don't like his attitude and the fact that he has struggled in the majors leads to criticism even though he is very young.

Doesn't mean it's right, but it means that someone will/would overvalue for him. If the Mets are looking to get Figgins and the Angels are willing to listen, you would think the Angels would call around first and get the highest bidder, which would no doubt up Figgins value, as some GMs would value him quite highly and more highly than others.

Really it comes down to the versatility of Figgins that intrigues me really. With guys like Easley starting to platoon in different positions I would feel more comfortable having a guy like Figgins on the bench or starting at second base.

Quinlan is just a nice righty that I would to have off the bench since Delgado is a lefty. He is 30 years old now, but I still believe he can better off the Julio Franco.

You would seriously trade Milledge for a solid benchie, and a versatile infielder who are both basically 30 years old?

Thank goodness for Omar. Duquette would probably make a move like that.
