he's got a year left on his contract right? id take him to play 1st base for the rangers. he struggled this year so you'd have to take a pretty big chunk of his contract and not expect much in return. but the rangers need to find some sort of power threat.

no, joaquin esablished himself as a very good reliever this year and he might be our closer next year.

id give laird (maybe, not downgrading carlos he might be used to acquire pitching or minor league depth)

i was thinking if he's traded it'd be the mets picking up a portion of his contract and getting 1 or 2 decent prospects.
