Huge surprise at No. 7 with Milwaukee taking Matt LaPorta out of Florida. First shock out of the first round.

He definitely isn't BPA. That belongs to Porcello then Parker and Heyward. That being said LaPorta can hit like no other, but he can't play defense at all.

Also, who the hell takes a reliever with the 8th pick, so stupid.

Parker is a steal for the DBacks.

Yea, he's got a really good fastball and a great work ethic. He's definately on the fast track to the majors.

Well, we all know that the Dbacks like high school pitchers as well as college pitchers so this pick shouldn't come as a surprise. Like I said, he's definately on the fast track. I'll *predict* an ETA fall 2008.

Bumgarner should be a solid addition to the wealth of pitchers now in San Francisco.

Seattle should feel lucky to get a pitcher of the quality like Aumont at No. 11. This is a good boost for a franchise that hasn't developed pitching well.

Wow, this draft is killing your mock.

I would say Bumgarner is very good pick, but all he has right now is a fastball. But he is very young (even for this HS class) and has a high ceiling.

The mock has struggled after Price. One thing is for sure though, whoever picks Heyward from here on out is getting a steal in the first round.

Wow, lpsevier the Braves might get Heyward if the Indians pick Beaven like I think they will.

Although the Braves could still pick Smoker or Main.

I have to agree with you there, Heyward is my favorite hs bat of the draft. And if he somehow gets past the Braves I would love for him to be on the Cards.

I don't think you need to pray for that injury. It's inevitable.

I'm pretty sure Vitters will be a bust.

And if the Cubs would have taken Parker his arm would have blown up.
