Figured I'd give this forum it's first post of 09.

I really like Goldstein's work and tend to agree with him more than a lot of other similiar lists. He just released his yesterday. You need to be a subscriber to see the full list (which I'd recommend, it's a pretty cheap price for a lot of quality baseball writing), but I'll post the Top 25 here.

I think he has Logan Morrison a little low at 53. Michael Taylor seems a little high at 55, he was fairly old for his level last season. I like David Cooper more than he does (88). Anyways, discuss.

Like usual upside rules the day with Goldstein, which isn't really a bad thing, but you can tell how he values guys.

Inoa makes it #20, which is pretty damn high, I like him and probably don't have that high.

Just in the top 9 position players there are 4 players with some contact issues.

I'm personally not the biggest Snider fan, although he is still an elite prospect he has both strikeout issues and doesn't have the greatest defensive value.

I like that he isn't totally in love with Heyward like many are, although again he's elite, but theres no way I put Heyward over Porcello or Bumgarner like I've seen some do, and I even like Moustakas more.

I think Alderson is undervalued here. J Hell should have made it.

And yeah Morrison was in hitters hell in 2008 I wonder if that made him look worse than he really is to KG. I like Mike Taylor but theres a chance that he was just beating up on younger/not a physical mature guys, but again I like him because he just looks like a beast. And yes thats how I rank my prospects, based on looks.

Did Reddick make his list?

I'm glad to see Heyward AND Hanson in the top 15.

Josh Reddick is #87.

Hope he turns out better than Francouer, a guy everyone compares him to.

Tells you how special a player Alvarez probably is that he's gotten fat and hasn't had a single AB yet he's still #4. Or Goldstein is crazy.

Eric Hosmer. I hate highschool 1B until they've actually proven something.

Reddick is alot smaller than Frenchy though. I don't see much in the physical comparisons, but I guess their games are similar.
