Thoughts on my team?

Post#1 » by treyZz » Sun Feb 17, 2008 11:57 pm

Stat Categories: AB, R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP

12 people in the league..

C - McCann
1B - Adrian Gonzalez
2B - Orlando Hudson
SS - Hanley Ramirez
3B - Aramis Ramirez
3B - Ryan Zimmerman
LF - Cameron Maybin
CF - Ichiro
RF - Jermaine Dye
Util - Fukudome

Bench - Longoria, Pie, Butler

SP - CC Sabathia, King Felix, Ben Sheets
RP - Joe Nathan, Houston Street
P - Rich Hill, Carlos Marmol, Andrew Miller

I'm hoping Marmol wins out the closer job which doesn't seem to likely since he can pitch multiple innings and is more useful doing that.

Thoughts and advice? I was playing poker while drafting so missed a few picks and wasn't really paying enough attention to the draft.

Pretty solid team. Great pitching staff.

Not alot of Offensive depth imo on your bench. I don't play in leagues where AB's count, but I think you should have that covered.

I think he will score runs and steal some bases.

I don't even think he's a lock for the starting CF position in Florida. And, depending on your league's setting, he may lose his LF eligibility this year.

I have a hard time believing he won't start after they shipped out Miggy & D-train. We shall see though.

I don't get your thought process there.

They ship out a 3B and a pitcher, so this kid is going to start in CF?

Especially since AB's count, I would look elsewhere.

Who is going to beat him out of the CF job, honestly?

I have little to no doubts he will be playing everyday for Florida.

Well if you know everything, why did you ask for advice on your team?

Immediately quote me where I proclaimed I know everything.

You questioned the Maybin pick I explained it and now you're back peddling. Who is going to beat him out? And would you like to wager on this?

Well, according to Rotoworld Fredi Gonzalez says its no definite only that "If we want to take it easy on [Maybin], we've got Cody Ross who plays center field, and he did a nice job at the end of the year, and we've got De Aza,"

But, hey, he

In any regard, who is on the waiver wire right now? Any intriguing names?

I think Matt Diaz is a better option right now than Maybin.
