Beltran for Carmona and Hart

Post#1 » by pugilistfan » Wed Apr 30, 2008 12:20 am

Beltran for Carmona and Corey Hart.

Im getting Carmona and Hart and to be honest I think this is a steal of a deal.

I dont even rate Beltran that much higher than Hart when they are both playing at their peak potential. I think Hart is a top 50 player while Beltran is a top 25 player. Not to mention I get a stud pitcher which I need because I lost Smoltz to the DL.

The problem is Carmona has had problems with control and K/BB is a category in this league.

Should I do this deal?

Also,

This is a keeper league. I get to keep 5 players but I already have some really good keeper prospects so im willing to trade the best player in the deal for solid depth.

I typically don't like 2 for 1's where I get the two. But this looks pretty good. Hart is solid (I prefer Beltran, as he was my first fantasy baseball pick every a couple years ago).

Add that to the fact that Carmona is very solid. I don't know why he is ranked so low by Yahoo currently. He has three wins (tied with Beckett and a ton of others), a low ERA, I guess his K's and whip are hurting him. Based on last season his whip should come down.
