I e-mailed him but there's an issue regarding Saltalamacchia that needs to get settled first. He said he should be online to check the PMs tonight.

I am sorry, I was on the road and couldn't sign on. I only had my phone to check internet on and the web browser isn't great for big pages like these. I draft Jesus Montero, C for the NY Yankees.

On Saltamacchia, we can talk, but I picked him up fair and square a long time before the season ended. I remember knowing 100% he was fair game. I don't remember the specifics of it, but there has to be some sort of statute of limitations on making such gripes.

Benny, I was offering you the option of doing this gracefully, I wasn't offering you the option of not doing it at all. Bove previously picked up Salty as well and I made him drop him because he belongs to another manager. That doesn't mean you or anyone else can suddenly pick up another manager's player. The rule is that if someone doesn't pick their prospect up when they become an lose prospect eligibility that they have their add/drops locked, which happened to BG. We've gone over this before and you're not keeping Saltamacchia.

First of all, I don't appreciate the tone as if I did something wrong and now you are doing me a favor. I work for a living so forgive me for not being here the last week. Yet it doesn't mean I don't pay attention to this league ever since we started it.

I paid attention all last season and carried the guy on my roster for over a month. I think people should be responsible for following the league all season, not just in the first few months. If anything, those of us who keep in it all year are the ones who should be given the benefit of the doubt.

I remember knowing for sure that it was a clean pick up. All this time later, I don't remember the details beyond that. That I should be penalized for it now just doesn't seem right.

I'll offer Jeff Clement so we can put it to bed in an equitable fashion, but do not take that tone with me as if I am in the wrong.

You can have him.

I'll gladly take Clement, though. :)

Can I have Kelly Johnson then?

And I'll pick Matt Wieters.

No, Kelly Johnson is mine. All mine.

Also, I would like to move up in the draft. Anyone looking to move down? Make me an offer when your pick comes up.

FAAAAAAAGGOT. I wanted Wieters. Towles is a nice catcher but I wanted a beast behind the plate. I'll trade you the rights to Justin Upton for him.

I guess I will settle for my consolation prices.

Rick Porcello, SP, Detroit
Matt LaPorta, OF, Milwaukee

Have no idea where LaPorta is going to play but that bat is going to be sick. mahalo

Nevermind on my wanting to move up in the draft. Thanks, Chach.

I'm glad this all got settled with relative ease. I'm not going to continue to scold a grown man and act like it will serve any productive purpose. A message to all of you though: when someone doesn't pick up their prospect, they didn't lose the rights to them, they just lose the rights to pick up any free agents before that prospect. At no point are you allowed to pick up that player even if it's been a month since they became a major league player. That manager owns the rights to the player until they decide to rescind those rights.

What would it take for Utley, my entire farm system or just a large chunk of it? mahalo

I mean, probably the entire thing. I don't even know, I think Utley might be the most valuable commodity in fantasy baseball. He's head and shoulders above the rest of the field at his position. E-mail or PM me with an offer if you want, just remember Utley is coming at full price.

I was hoping you were hungover on a sangria bringe or something. The best offer you would get out of me is something like Kazmir and Upton. mahalo

Ty, I sent you a proposal. Don't click yes immediately because I want Billy Rowell as well but I obviously couldn't add him to the yahoo trade. mahalo

Lee is too old for my team. Any of your younger guys available?

Why would I trade my budding all star young players for an injury prone second baseman? I think Lee for Weeks is a fair trade. Lee offers you more pop out of your UTL spot because you already have Kendrick and I upgrade my second base. Both have risks. Weeks has yet to stay healthy and productive in the same season and Lee is getting older. By the time that Lee is too old to be productive, Bruce will be stepping into his prime to replace him or maybe even Fowler. I might be willing to give up either Ellsbury or Fukodome but I'd need something else back as well because both of those guys are safer bets to produce than Weeks. mahalo
