Because not everyone can make it on the same night at the same time.
So to be fair to everyone, you are given a time limit to pick over an extended period.
This way, you may be Late or Miss one or two picks but you don't miss the entire draft and are then stuck with whatever yahoo selects.

It only becomes painful and slow when the same few are consistently late.
This is, by far, the longest this draft has ever taken.

Ok ok I'm sorry. I get it. I'll just say now that I'm out for next year. If you find someone to replace me, awesome. I'll definitely keep my team active, it's just a bad time for me right now. Again, thanks to all who have picked for me. My apologies for the Mike Cammalleri round. On that note, the Mike Cammalleri rounds are still hilarious. Sorry guys

the offline draft is still the best option.
we tried it a couple times with just one night, could never get it to work.

PLUS here we can do THIS

Does that read like a real housewives response? Sorry I wasn't taking it personally I honestly just don't enjoy these anymore and it seemed like a good time to let you know. No drama needed I'm not upset or crying or cutting myself. This is why talking over the Internet is dumb.

Opening day is in 2 weeks and 3 days (i.e., Sunday April 3).
Most people have 4 rounds left to pick. Some have 6.

If the draft continues to drag, I will be shortening everyone's pick clocks down to 8 hours (So we can at least move through 3 people a day).
I will continue to lower as need be, to ensure we all have full rosters before Opening Day (hopefully much, much sooner)

Once everyone has drafted, I will post, in this thread, the Team reviews and projections for the season.

Dan selects Justin Turner. Full time chef. Part time lover. Not a good baseball player.
