Honestly, he'll probably be able to get better guys than Parmelee and Guerra in the draft but we'll see how Corey feels about it.

Tell you what, give me a comp pick at the end of the second round in the prospect draft and Corey can have McGee so that things just run smoothly. Rather than hold up the draft or find out a solution to him having to go back and re-pick. And if it makes things even easier, I will relinquish my rights to both guys if you give me a comp pick at the end of the first round. Very last pick in the first (or first pick in the second, however you want to phrase it) would be a pretty decent return on Fukudome (who was actually hitting when I traded for him). I do really like McGee, injury or not, but I'll give up the rights to keep things running smoothly. mahalo

Haha, I don't think so Chach. Not unless stud drafts Jordan Schafer with his next pick and I get a supplementary pick at the end of the first round too. These are all fringe guys who might or might not get drafted at all if they were in the regular prospect draft this year.

Well then rewind the draft and start over from the McGee pick because you done f-ed up and those "fringe prospects" are mine. I'm trying to help make this easier but nooooooooooooooo. No respect I tell ya. mahalo

I'd be willing to give mcgee up if it would make things go smoother because he is chach's guy. As long as i can get a supplementary pick or something.

Good man. Am I right in thinking everyone wants to pass on Melillo, Sinkbeil, Moskos and Sanders?

Piss **** ****. Way to ruin my fantasy off-season Kenny Williams.
For those of who newbies, I refuse to play Yankees. Too much of a conflict of interest as a Red Sox fan. My starting first baseman, Nick Swisher, is now a Yankee. Nick is officially on the block and I am in the market for a first baseman. I'm kind of looking for a slugger type rather than an all around hitter because with Ellsbury in the line-up, I could use some power help. This goes for all managers, not just the new guys. Also Sett, the email addy to contact me at is jcollins7 at gmail dot com. Don't bother with whatever email address yahoo has listed. mahalo

Just to let everyone know, my semester is finally winding down and I will be around very soon to transfer all info into the new thread to help out the new guys and we'll sort out the prospect draft order and all that good stuff. Expect everything to be done by new year's at the latest.

Re: 2008/2009 MLB Dynasty League Offseason
Hey everyone. Tonight at 10 p.m. I will be doing the lottery for the Prospect Draft. Not having a first round pick myself (via the Jimmy Rollins trade) I hope you'll consider me impartial enough to do the number sequence. As usual, I will be using this website: http://www.random.org/sequences and will immediately post the number sequence on the thread. Each person will have an assigned number value that relates to their final finishing place last season. I've given the new guys numbers that relate to the previous managers. We will have a sequence from 1-13 which puts into play Bleeding Green's 1st and 2nd round picks, which he traded away. Bleeding Green will be assigned number 13. After rounds one and two the number 13 will then be eliminated from the draft order and we will have the regular 12 pick rounds. These are the numbers that will be associated with each manager:
1 - Bove310
2 - TyCobb
3 - Setterlund
4 - Benny Blanco
5 - SSK99
6 - sosafan70
7 - Basketball Jesus
8 - Chach
9 - Studcrackers
10 - Kazanovicz
11 - Bigboy1234
12 - MauveAvenger
13 - Bleeding Green

Man Bove, tough luck buddy.
So I get the 3rd pick in the prospect draft and the 1st of the FA draft?

Yeah sorry bovey, you really got screwed. I'd like to announce to everyone that Taylor Teagarden is on the block for a reasonable value. I'm looking for a late 1st rounder or high 2nd round prospect pick. I'm also willing to package my #2 ROOK/FA pick with a 2nd round prospect pick to get into the first round. Mark Teixeira is available, I realize he's dirt to some of you because he's a Yankee now but his production is probably going to go up. If anyone is interested in Ryan Ludwick, Cliff Lee or Justin Duchscherer please drop me a line.

I mean, I guess you could NFL Draft style, but I wasn't planning on having the draft really begin for a month or so.
