Alright, that signals the end of the dispersal draft. Good job guys, that went well. As usual bigboy is requesting the prospect draft several months before we usually have it to exploit all of his prospect knowledge before all the big lists come out. As usual we'll have the prospect draft in a little while as soon as we sort out the order and give people a week or so to get prepared. I don't see the need to rush and do it before the Baseball America Top 100 comes out.

The roster size is 25 people. The reason a couple of the guys have an extra player is because I rushed to finish transferring the rosters over from Yahoo and was too lazy to check the old thread yet to see which players they dropped because I was setting up the dispersal draft. It'll be fixed in the next day or two.

Um, last season we started the prospect draft on Jan 31, I don't see how asking it to start on Feb 1 "is requesting the prospect draft several months before we usually have it." Plus I'm no smarter than anyone else here when it comes to prospects here. I just pick the sexiest looking players anyways.

I'm gonna get the prospect draft order done in a little bit. For the number values to use in the random number generator I'm just going to assign numbers based on where people finished. Because I wasn't in the first round last year I felt okay doing the order, but I'll have someone else do it because I want my chance at Strasburg, haha. Here's the numbers:

Just asked one of the guys from the FFDL basketball league to do the number sequence. Yeah that wasn't a favorable result for you. I wish we could get a redo too (bigboy gets #1, 3 and 6, sheesh!). That's the way the cookie crumbles though. Looks like bigboy has walked into the prospect of the decade.

Chris Tillman is available for a similar prospect, a prospect pick or combination of prospects and picks. Tillman was Baseball America's #22 prospect last season. At age 21, last season Tillman put up a strong showing in AAA and held his own in a dozen major league starts. There's nothing wrong with Tillman, he's still a rising young pitcher, I've just got so much pitching talent already (yeah, I said it) that I'm ready to sacrifice someone with an eye toward the future.
