Bigboy, to clarify, once owners have been notified that their prospects have graduated, they have two weeks to pick them up before they get their add/drops locked. So, I'm not breaking my own rules, technically, just maximizing what they allow. I really don't want to drop Schafer, but he's not much of a commodity hitting the way he is, so I'll squeeze another two quality starts out of Dave Bush. Hopefully those private lessons with Chipper pay off in exactly two weeks.

I was just giving you a hard time. Like always.

A-Rod loves this new joke of a park in New York, 7 HR in 53 AB and a 971 OPS despite a .086 BABIP.

Desmond Jennings is good at baseball.

Just being sure here, Mauve you know that deal including those 3 picks too, right?

What a useless trade, all waiver wire fodder, and not even good waiver wire fodder at that. I can't imagine he knew about the picks and unless they're 4th rounders or something or why else would he do that deal?

Who Choo who has a .900 OPS in his last 600 PA? And Hafner who has looked pretty good this year and if he is back is one of the best hitters in baseball.

I've picked up and dropped Choo partly because the OF pool is so deep and partly because he's going to be a barely-deserves-to-be-on-the-roster-and-you-sort-of-just-leave-him-on-your-bench type of guy. Book him for .280 with 80 runs, 80 RBI, 10 SB and 15 HR. He's a nice player but... ehhh.

Just for fun his last 138 games, so not even a full season:

.307 19 HR 95 R 92 RBI 10 SB .924 OPS

I'm not really sure why you would have that on the bench, but you have done weirder things.

Oh, and he's getting a pick too.

Not a big deal at all if he didn't notice the note I put in there, just kind of need to know so the trade doesn't go through if he didn't know.

Oh my bad, I didn't realize that those two picks were involved in the trade and i've been on vacation for the past couple of days, so i havn't had any access to the computer. I definitely don't want to do that trade anymore, sorry for not checking that out before.

So I'm willing to admit that our trade is pretty much even Sett. Braun turned into Pujols but Tulo is a giant bag of suck so he might be giving my team negative value. Blah.

Sorry I never got back to you bigboy. Busy season at work for the next week or so. You can have Poo-holes back but it will cost you Lincecum. Obviously it won't be a one for one, I'm willing to add more pieces, but I can't trade him with Crawford being the major cog in the deal.

I'm looking to upgrade my SS and 3rd base positions, possibly for long term fixes, and I have plenty of young pitching to go around. I'm also considering punting saves so if you are in need of closers, I have three of them. Same deal, SS or 3rd or a 2 for 1 with an upgrade in SP (i.e. Lackey and Soria for Lincecum and spare parts). mahalo

I am interested, what are you looking for?

What I would like to know is what exactly is going on behind that trade? Did Hill turn into Utley and I was just not paying attention? mahalo

Haven't you seen his numbers? My pitching is dominant, I need some offense. He pretty much is the RH Utley minus 15 homeruns.

Just shoot me a proposal and we'll go from there.

Hey guys I'm looking to make a 2 for 1 deal, with myself giving up 2. Like to pick up a quality bat, I'm pretty much willing to trade anybody on my team. Let me know if anybody on my team interests you guys.

I'll reverse that trade, sorry guys, I was a little caught up in something the past couple days. Let it be noted that I'm on the two week warning period to pick up Jordan Schafer as of the day Kaz notified me.

Yup, just not paying attention Chach. Hill fell off the map after he lost last year to a bad concussion but if you forget about that year, Hill has been a rising player for a while now. He just turned 26 and this is his fifth season as a full-time regular in the majors.

In 2007 (at age 24) he put up 87 R/17 HR/78 RBI/.291 AVG/4 SB. Similar stats to the year before but a big jump in power. Another big jump this year as he's hitting .341 with 12 HR already.

I expect him to even out a little, but he's entering his prime and hitting in a lineup with Wells, RIos, Lind, Snider and a healthy Scott Rolen behind him, so he's gonna see good pitches and score a lot. The early part of this season was a hot streak and so his final stat line will probably end up being his career year but in a regular season I'd say he's a 90 R/25 HR/100 RBI/.300 AVG/5 SB type of player and that's still a top five 2B, even if he's not quite Utley.

I'm committed to Utley and Rollins as my starters though and Asdrubal Cabrera makes a great super-sub/utility guy, and also I wasn't sensing other people would give up a lot for Cabrera in a trade so it just made more sense to ship off Hill.

If there's one thing I've overlooked the past couple seasons its been pitching and I sense the opportunity to give myself a really strong rotation if I can add Halladay as my ace. I think I get the better player (although with Halladay at 31 he's a lot closer to the end of his career, that's probably a key trade detail). Add him to Gallardo and Verlander and that's three studs.

Basically I thought it was an all-around good trade for both sides. I'm happy and I think Cobb is pretty chuffed as well.

WTF.

Aaron Hill coming into the season was a .750 OPS guy with no speed. Now his true talent is at best .800 OPS with no speed. ZiPS projects him for a .780 OPS the rest of the season.

What do you want for Howie?

Edit- Sett you suck at math, go look at Hill's age again.
