I understand this probably isn't going to go over great, but Celtics_Champs has decided to step down. I'm not out here looking to badmouth the guy, I think we pretty much all like him as a poster but there were certain difference we couldn't overcome. I was excited as everyone else given his familiarity with a lot of the managers. I did not run him out of the league or ask him to leave, it was his decision. I will try to find another qualified manager as soon as possible and talk to OldNo7 about how we should continue that draft when we get another guy. I'm sorry that this happened. This is probably the worst possible outcome of the situation and I apologize for that.

How about you two kiss and make up? CC seemed open to just about anything, so I'm not seeing what the issue is here. Just play nice and finish the damn draft already.

Believe me guys, that's all I wanted to do.

My stance:
I'm cool with whatever your decision is. I won't talk back if you veto the trade.
I just want to get this thing going.
I believe the trade was a gamble, but I wasn't trade raped.

That wasn't good enough.

Celtics_Champs, that's a highly edited version of our conversation to try to make yourself look better. You were unwilling and uncooperative over and over when I tried to talk to you. You mentioned multiple times to me in our conversation about quitting the league, I reiterated to you several times that I didn't want you to quit and that we could move on from this, then you quit outright. At this point I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish here. You quit, stop posting in the thread please.

Because I didn't want to have an aim chat. Me, oldno7, the whole damn league were fine with just moving on with the veto. But you felt the need to have long chats with each of us. After a half hour I bring up, do you want me to leave? After an hour, I just want to leave.

OK Guys. I'm the new guy here and all, but really, this cluttered bickering is not a good example to me as a new guy or another respective manager. Can personal conversations be left off here? I am checking here for updates, not arguments.

Sett what is the issue here? Just let them restart the draft and move on. I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish. Your making a huge deal out of really nothing. You wanted to veto a trade fine, just veto the stupid thing. Let them start the draft now and if Bigboy and CC want to make a move after the draft then let them.

Listen man, I know you'd probably prefer Celtics_Champs to be part of the league because you're familiar with each other but I never even once suggested he quit and tried to keep him in the league. He quit on his own. It was his choice, now we need to move on. I'm in the process of finding a new manager right now. Trying to reconcile with CC at this point is just going to create an awkward dynamic in the league and hard feelings. I think the league will be all the better a month from now getting a fresh start.

I hope you'll reconsider man. I stopped the trade because you can't let a guy start in the league with a crippling trade like that. I didn't force Celtics_Champs out, he quit of his own accord. You can place the blame for that on me if you want but I get genuinely tried to make it work and it was just a bad fit. I don't think there was much harm caused by it and I think we'll be able to move on smoothly from it so I hope you'll think about staying.

I'd like to announce MGD64 as my suggestion for a new manager. I've talked to him and I think his knowledge and commitment are more up to the standard we look for.

SSK I'm not going to immediately look for a replacement for you so you can think about it for a little bit.

Alright man, we'll look for someone else, but you did a similar thing last year and I don't understand why you have to connect yourself with stuff like this. I dunno how many times I can say this but didn't kick CC out, it was his decision so you're quitting for a guy who was in the league for like one day. I didn't beg for him to come back because I think it might be an issue in the future if he's so quick to quit. But alright, if you feel like this is something worth leaving over then I guess that's your decision. Thanks for all you've put into the league in the past.

So much drama in this league. Holy ****.

New rule, no more girls allowed just to fill a roster spot.

Sett, I would be curious how I took advantage of kaz in that trade last year also. BA ranked Mat Gamel and Austin Jackson as both top 40 prospects a couple weeks after that trade. Rafael Soriano was/is a closer. Chase Headley was coming off two straight years where he was the second best prospect in his league only behind the great Colby Rasmus, and even though he wasn't eligible for the 2009 top 100 where he would have been top 50 minimum, on their 2008 top 100 he was #32. (I think that was the trade.)

Now can you tell me what I have gotten out of the trade so far, or even what I may project to get.

New rule, no more girls allowed just to fill a roster spot.

You would try to get rid of the league champ!

Who cares about the players in the proposed trade/s? The point is the guy just signed up and right away does a 9 player trade. Wtf...get your feet wet another way first. Sett did the right thing in stopping it. It's obvious SSK and BigBoy think Sett can be hypocritical sometimes and manipulates rules and changes to benefit him so they are ready to take shots at Sett whenever something controversial happens. I am siding with Sett on this one, but at the same time, you took it way to0 far trying to work out what you thought were hard feelings. We are men on this site, so no need to get emotional with it.

Anyways, CC your a puss too. Just get back in this league, man up, move on, and lets be fantasy baseball geeks again. If you don't rejoin, you will forever lose e-cred with me. We all know how serious repuations are.

Please, your the only man here.

So are the new managers not allowed to make trades until a couple months into the season?

Also regarding the newest manager, I thought we decided this was going to be a realgm league thingy, nothing against him, because he could be as great as I, but the post count just has me thinking this.

I thought the same thing about the post count, but if you take a closer look at him, he's in other, less important leagues around RealGM (this league is obviously the best). And he's one of those guys who has been around for a while but just posts when it's necessary/thoughtful. I think there are a couple other guys here that have been in other leagues with him that will think he measures up.

And I'm glad you guys are down to move on past the drama. Me too.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to come by and say hi.

My post count may not be very high but I have/do actively read all the RealGM boards on a daily basis for a few years now. I know the tension is a little high right now in the league but I hope I won't add to it any and look forward to this year!
