Do you really need 5 closers? I would try trading some of them away for SP.

Certainly not but I tried to take a bit of a monopoly on the board after Nathan was available with K-Rod and Ryan taken. Ended up that the closer was the BPA in consecutive rounds with Hoffman, Ray and Saito so I figured why not ..

If I can trade them for better value later, it'll work out quite nicely.

Drop Patterson for Hawpe. Hawpe has more power and run producer potential in a good lineup and good hitter's park.

I'm not sure I like the move of Patterson for Hawpe. Patterson is an instant pick up on the waiver wire and I don't feel as if I need that much power.

I don't have ONE solid power hitter, but I do have consistent power from Tex, Morneau, Swisher, Sizemore and even Willingham. If I lose Patterson, I can count on consistent speed from Reyes and no one else.

Leave the offense as is. I would drop Igawa because he sucks and see if there's a guy like Scot Shields or Jonathan Broxton to use in the interim. Wait until a quality SP emerges on the wire and snap him up.

My personal advice is to hang on to Nathan, Hoffman and Ray because they are the surest things. Shop Wagner for a top-level SP (think Sabathia, etc.), and see if you can't get an underrated mid-level starter for Saito. A bounce-back guy on the cheap, someone like Josh Beckett, or someone who is just underrated in general like Zito or Bedard.
