2 straight games, 2 homers. hes showing an advanced eye at the plate and enough power to muscle the ball out the park. this after hitting .400+ in ST. what do you think his chances are of becoming a regular some time this season? scouts who saw him this spring said that hes a bonified middle of the order hitter right now.
if he does start to get more ABs who's value is he gonna take away from?
BTW im a freel owner and also own encarnacion in another league.

I just don't see where Hamilton gets the AB's from right now. With the season Phillips had last season I think they give him more than a week to pick it up. I don't see Encarnacion losing at bats. So I guess Hamilton's best shot is to wait for Griffey to get hurt again.

Alrighty maybe I should have read the wiretap. Looks like Encarnacion didn't do any favors for himself. I can't imagine them sitting him out that long tho.

Encarnacion and Phillips probably get 12-15 days off each. Same with Dunn. Same with Freel. Same with Griffey. That's 60-90 games plus whatever else Griffey missed due to injury. And he should get the bulk of the pinch-hitting duties for pitchers/Alex Gonzalez, I assume.

OR...they could just send hatteberg packin when bill bray or one of their other pitchers on the DL comes back. shift hamilton to left (while backing up CF) and dunn to first...conine can back up both positions. it makes too much sense. is dunn as bad (or worse) at 1B as he is in the outfield?
i know its early, but according to all accounts from scouts that saw him this spring, hamilton could very well be their 2nd best bat already.

Freel is also a big injury risk, I think Hamilton can probably find 300 AB this year.

I noticed at Sportsline he didn't have any fantasy points last week, but had 19 this week going into today... Also, 4 walks in 4 days including tonight.

Pretty good. If he starts again tomorrow he might have 300 at bats by the end of June.
