I trade away:Pence and Hawpe

I have
C:Vmart
1B:Swisher
2B:Weeks
3B:Zimmerman
SS:Reyes
OF:Cust
OF:Pence:
OF:Hawpe
Util:Thome
BN:Matt Stairs

I get Jermaine Dye and Travis Hafner

I know Dye is injured, but I figure Hafner for those two is good enough...am i getting the short end (because I traded prince fielder for Texiera in another league, and I am scared I just made the same mistake)?

This is a close trade to call. The only drawback for you is giving up Hunter Pence. He plays in a good hitters ballpark and even with Houston struggling, he will still get at-bats the rest of the year.

Also, Hafner and Dye up to this point have been playing like crap

Pence and Hawpe have been playing great....

So i don't know

I just wish I could trade stupid Jim Thome...I hate his Util rating, because this league plays like this

c,1b,2b,ss,3b,lf,cf,rf,util....instead of OFs so positional versatility is important

Pence won't keep up this pace - so Hafner will outplay him.

And Dye should eventually outplay Hawpe.

As a side note:

The main reason I accepted this trade was because I asked my gf if I should, and then happened to mention that Dye is black.

LOL

Hard to imagine Pence keeping his current pace, ditto with Dye and Hafner. You win.
