He's going to be the everyday CF in the best lineup in baseball and he has reasonable power and speed. I think people really underrate him.
I could definitely see a .290-.300 AVG, 12 HR, 15 SB, 85-90 runs, 75-85 RBI. Doesn't strikeout a lot. A lot like Coco Crisp when he was in Cleveland.
Definitely a lot more valuable if you are in a league that has LF/CF/RF positions as opposed to just OF all lumped together, but he is valuable regardless.
I'm in a league that counts strikeouts and OPS and I think the only CF who are definitely more valuable are Ichiro and Sizemore, Granderson and Beltran. And Cabrera will log considerably more hits than Beltran or Granderson, and probably about 80-100 fewer strikeouts, so he might even be more valuable than both of them.
I'm biased, though. Melky is one of my favorite players.

I agree that hes underrated fantasy wise but also reality wise as hes a decent player who hardly gets talked about. He could be especially usefull if your in a league with outfield assists.
what about Josh Hamilton's numbers for next season?

I guess it depends on how much he plays. Last time he logged more than 350 atbats was in 2000 in Single-A.
Give him 600 PA and I'd guess 280-.290 AVG, 25-30 HR, 10-12 SB, 75-85 R, 80-90 RBI, .850-ish OPS. 100-120 strikeouts? but realistically he's probably going to get 400 PA so he's not as valuable. Good backup to have.
I think he'll definitely be way overrated because the odds of him actually playing everyday are probably really low. Lot of risk with him.
