12 Team League, standard cats

C Russell Martin
1B Travis Hafner
2B Howie Kendrick
3B Ryan Zimmerman
SS Michael Young
OF Alfonso Soriano
OF Jason Bay
OF Raul Ibanez
Util James Loney
BN Josh Willingham
BN Frank Thomas
BN Scott Rolen

SP Johan Santana
SP Fausto Carmona
RP Joe Nathan
RP Francisco Rodriguez
P John Maine
P Dustin McGowan
P Joe Blanton
BN Brian Wilson
BN Rich Harden

Should I look at trading a pitcher or 2 to upgrade my OF? I'm excpecting Bay to bounce back this year and Ibanez/Willingham are ok for a 3rd OF, but could be better.

How the hell did you end up with that team in a 12-team league? Are you playing against fifth graders?

Lol possibly. Yahoo public leagues always have some real idiots, and this draft was no exception. There was one guy who actually took Pedro Martinez in the 3rd rd, oh and Josh Beckett was his first rd pick. It's still not a perfect team though, I have essentially no speed.

Here's how my draft went:

1. (10) Johan Santana SP
2. (15) Alfonso Soriano OF
3. (34) Russell Martin C
4. (39) Travis Hafner 1B
5. (58) Joe Nathan RP
6. (63) Francisco Rodriguez RP
7. (82) Michael Young SS
8. (87) Jason Bay OF
9. (106) Ryan Zimmerman 3B
10. (111) Fausto Carmona SP
11. (130) Howie Kendrick 2B
12. (135) John Maine SP
13. (154) James Loney 1B
14. (159) Dustin McGowan SP
15. (178) Raul Ibanez OF
16. (183) Joe Blanton SP
17. (202) Brian Wilson RP
18. (207) Rich Harden SP
19. (226) Josh Willingham OF
20. (231) Frank Thomas Util
21. (250) Scott Rolen 3B

OP - With minimal injuries, I'd bet some pretty serious money you'll win that league. Unless of course there was one other team in the draft who took advantage like you did.
