I was comparing the performance of two closers that have struggled of late. Namely, Joe Borowski and Jason Isringhausen. I looked at the stats (total) for the last month. Borowski is ranked 593 and Issy is at 594, so you would think their stats would be pretty close.
However, in that span JB has 3 saves, 2 K's, a 0.00 ERA and a WHIP of 0.80, not bad.
Over the same period, Issy collected 0 saves, 1K, an ERA of 11.57 and a WHIP of 2.14.
How can they be ranked so close when their stats are so far off?
