Jays fan here. I heard a lot from this rookie throughout spring training and just wondering how good he is. What's his ceiling? How far along is he right now and just what kind of impact could he make this season?

Thanks.

Young could be 30 30 player the best defensive CF in the NL. He has had problems with knowing the strike zone, but he is getting better. Baseball America had him as a top 25 prospect last year.

Where is he at right now in terms of reaching that plateau?

Defensivly he could win a gold glove. Offensively 20 to 25 homers 30 plus steals high strike out to walk ratio but he is going to be in the lineup everyday.

He has the Highest Potential of all the young studs in the organization not named Justin Upton. I don't know he is MLB ready quite yet though, I guess we are going to find out soon, this year should be very exciting to FINALLY see what these kids can do when given a chance.

His realistic potential is somewhere between

and

which would make him a very good player, especially if he hits like Davis ca 1987 in his peak years.

Of course, if you ask me, this is his ceiling:

Right now, he's an immediate 20-20 man with teriffic defense. He'll make some mental errors, but he has great athleticism and will, in the future, do it all except hit for average.

I love him!
8 RBI's..he's producing runs!
We have 5 guys in the top 50 for RBI's in the MLB. Very nice.
