Byrnes unlikely to be traded

I really hope we work something out with him then..

I hope we keep him because Quentin doesn't look like he is ready to be in the majors for at least two more years. With Quentin in the minors we should bring up Upton next year.

Eh, Byrnes(GM) sounded as if they may bring him up this September..I hope not. I'd rather call him up to Tucson soon, let him play it out there, and see how things work during the offseason (AZ Fall league), then Spring Training.

Personally, I would hate to lose Byrnes. I believe he is a very valuable piece to the Diamondbacks, even as they try to bring the Baby Backs up. He gives his all 24/7 and sets a great example for the younger players. He'll bat lead-off, clean-up, or in the 8 hole if asked. He'd even pitch relief if asked, that's what kind of player this guy is. I just don't see the point in getting rid of such an important clubhouse guy even if it does allow us to get slightly younger.
