Unfortunately, this means sure death to the "minor league thread," but i think its necessary this be created, since Upton will soon become an MLB player.

They won the game but might have lost right fielder Carlos Quentin, who suffered an apparent leg injury while running out a double in the fourth inning. The only silver lining: A stint on the disabled list for Quentin likely would mean the arrival of baseball's most anticipated prospect, Justin Upton.

Upton, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 draft, is hitting .309 with 13 home runs in 262 at-bats for Double-A Mobile despite being just 19 years old. The organization has had Upton, normally a center fielder, playing right field sporadically for about six weeks.

I doubt it's tomorrow.. If you're gonna bring up a young kid (VERY young in his case,) you wanna do it against a scrubby pitcher. But then again.. Melvin has made a couple questionable decisions in his time at manager.

Ok, so i guess there's a pretty good chance they're gonna bring him in today.

How unfortunate is it that it's a no-tv game?

Good one, melvin!

In the night Justin gets his first hit, he also gets his first error and his first run.

*2 Errors, 1 on a routine fly ball.

I can't wait for him to start swinging the bat consistently.

A single shy of the cycle. Not too bad.
