So O's are are 0-3 and heading to play in Yankee stadium for a 3 game series.
Expected Starting pitchers
BAL NYY
Loewen VS Mussina
Trachsel VS Igawa
Bedard VS Rasner
Few keys to the series (
feel free to add more)
*Limit mistakes and just stop playing stupid baseball. The Yanks offense is gonna do enough damage , can just give them extra at bats.
*Their offense is gonna put up some runs so the O's need to bring out their bats. We dont really want to get into a slugfest with them, but we will need to be ready to put up some runs.
Random stat
Loewen went 2-1 with a 2.63 ERA against the yankees last year in his rookie season so lets hope for more of the same.

We could probably take 2 out of 3 from them based on the pitching matchups. The wild card is definitely today's game, but good start. If guys like Cabrera and Loewen get run support, they could win 15 games a piece, easily.

Nice meatball in the middle of the plate from TRASH-el to erase the lead from Markakis' solo shot.
O's down 2-1 after that A-Rod homer.

O's answer back in a big way against the new Japanese import (maybe soon to be export) with a 4-run 2nd.
Was worried though as O's had bases loaded nobody out which became 2 outs from the bottom of the order. Thankfully, Roberts and Mora pushed across the baserunners.
Time to see what Trash can do with this lead.

Go Orioles. Good to see them recover after that series with the Twins.

Yeah, that just bodes well for the rest of this series, let alone the season.

Tough loss for you guys.
O's look nice this year, when Payton and Ramon Hernandez come back you will have a pretty potent line-up to go along with your core of Markakis (who is a stud), Roberts, Mora, and Tejada.

Yanks fan here. I was really shocked at how much better you guys are this year. There is a day and night difference between your pen last year and this year. You guys are going to put up a lot of runs and if your starting pitching holds up over the year you guys should be right there in the playoff race. Good Luck just not against the Yanks.

The one O's game I wasn't able to catch happens to be the most exciting of the year....figures.
1-4 now? Damn.

Looking at the quality of the opponents, all on the road and every game being close, i'm not that concerned about the record. And add in the fact that we're missing Jay Payton and Ramon Hernandez out of the lineup and are forced to give at-bats to guys like Kevin Millar and Paul Bako/Alberto Castillo, I think our offense has some good potential.
Today's game will be very interesting to see how the O's respond to that devastating loss and how Bedard responds to his previous bad outing. This is the exact kind of game that contenders expect a quality start from their Ace to turn the tide.

Damn ... I guess Perlozzo used my previous post to motivate
Millar a 2-run shot earlier and now Bako with a 3-runner.

It's a shame because, barring a freak GSHR, we would have actually swept the Yanks.
Oh well - I'll take 2/3 anytime, anyday.

Nice series guys. Hopefully our staff can pick it up and our outfield can get healthy and we can have a good series in Baltimore. When do we play next, June?

Glad though to see Ray have short-term memory and close the door in the 9th. Not too shabby, especially since he pitched in each the last 4 games, and the past 3 days in a row.
Bedard with gutsy performance after a shaky 1st. He was lights out after that, retired something like 20 of 22 batters at one point.
Much needed win to get that fiasco out of our system.
WOOHOO x2!
