Braves general manager Frank Wren has already taken care of his primary offseason need with the signing of Tom Glavine. With his starting rotation now in place, Wren heads to this year's Winter Meetings in Nashville, Tenn., looking to potentially add a left-handed reliever and a center fielder with more experience than his two current options -- Josh Anderson and Jordan Schafer.
Finding an economical and desirable left-handed reliever on the free-agent market might not prove feasible. While there is a desire to keep Ron Mahay, his price tag might prove too steep and force Wren to continue looking at the trade market for both a lefty reliever and center fielder.
Over the past four years at the Winter Meetings, the Braves have made significant acquisitions. This year, they might be a little quieter.
