He has to be turned into a 1B if he wants to play though.

Then what do they about Thorman? He has been playing good and from what I have seen behind the plate he's good defensively. How bout moving McCann to 1B?

Why move him? You have a guy who has played the position. McCann played catcher ever since his freshman year in high school and is a very good player. Salty has that experience at 1B since he did play some in high school. McCann made the all-star team last year and is making a run for it again this year. No need to fix what isn't broken.

Thorman takes a back seat or is traded away.

There's a huge wave of us who say Salty to 1B and Thorman to LF. McCann is established at catcher and has the great contract so there's no reason to move him. I understand Salty's height is a concern so this is just one more reason for him to make the move. The bottom line is that replacing Diaz/Harris with Salty makes this one scary lineup!

I actually like Willie. He gives us speed that we need in the lineup.

I have mixed feeling about him staying due to his playing time. Overall I'm fine with it and trust our management

I've been saying since the season started:

Salty @ first.
McCann doesn't move.
Thorman in left.
Harris as the speedster off the bench.

Does Thorman have any experience in the outfield or do we expect Andrew to make up for him?
