Braves get out of a major jam in the 7th. 0-0 going into the 8th.

Schafer with a 2 out dbl in the 8th, E9 allows Hinske to score and Schafer to advance to 3b.

1-0 Braves middle of the 8th

Venters must take the blame for this one. I know he was trying to make a play, but he also hurt us by getting off the mound so slow, when the hitter is known for being fast.

Not only that, but next batter Venable bunt popped out to Venters, Ross was telling Venters to throw to 1st, Venters looked at 3b, never attempted to go to 1b. Had he listened to Ross, would have dbl'd off the runner at 1st and got out of the inning with game tied at 1.

I know that as well. It was a complete fail for him today, but I hope he stays positive, and puts it behind him. The last thing we need is for it get in his head and cause problems during the next series.

I'm not going crazy on him. Just saying he had a really bad outing, he had a chance to get out of that inning.
