Terrific win! Delgado did a great job for us today. Now, if St. Louis can lose, we will be in much better shape.

I wanted make sure we got the W so I decided not to text. What a game that was. 4-0 shutout! The Cards will most likely win but it's an amazing day. I'm really happy for our rookies and pen.

Missed this due to work, glad they got the win. Mets allowed 6 runs in the 7th, as the Cards beat them.

We need a good outing from Lowe.

Vazquez in most cases won't allow many runs, but we know him, and we should be able to score 3 at the minimum off him.

Fish are up 2-0 on us. Man, Vasquez is shutting us down. We gotta get to him soon or we stand to lose more ground to the Cards. Gotta just keep taking care of our own business - which means winning and not worrying about what the Cards ae doing. Get some runs!

Still 2-0 in the bottom of the 6th. Vasquez has 1 hit us so far. And of course the Cards are up 2-0 over the Mets. This is starting to be a dreary night. We gotta turn this around quick with some run support for Lowe.

3-0 Fish and 3-0 Cards. Crap!!!

Great chance in the 7th with men on 2nd and 3rd, but could not get them in. Still 3-0 Fish leading.

Some run support would be nice.

The Mets are now beating the Cards.

Just saw that bit of good news. The Mets put up 4 on them and lead 4-3. Now if they can just hold it, I'll rest more comfortably.

We left more runners on base in the top of the 9th. The Marlins shut us out.

Lowe is garbage, dude is 7 games under .500 and has an ERA just under 5. If Hanson returns, Braves should put Lowe in the pen and go with Hudson, Hanson, Beachy, Minor/Martinez. Minor and Martinez could give you 4-5 IP, then turn it over to stacked bullpen.(If the game is close) Martinez has pitched multiple innings a few times this season, 6 relief IP in a 14 inning game.
I do not trust Lowe one bit.

Not happy that we have basically choked but if it gets the front office to recognize that Freddi G was not and is not the guy for this job I am fine with us not making it. I said this weeks ago. Saw it coming unfortunately. Freddi played favorites all year and I think it killed the locker room in the end. Don't be surprised if you hear about it in the offseason. Lowe should have been sent to the Pen months ago and Heyward should never have been benched if you were not going to do the same to guys like Alex and Uggla when they were struggling worse during stints. It is funny that Heyward and Gonzo look like our best hitters right now though.

In summary, I am okay with us not making it because we need changes that we may not get without a big stink like this.

A. We need to realize that our starting rotation was never that strong, it was always the bullpen carrying us. We simply need starting rotation help. I can remember throwing Jimenez out there around trade deadline, but told that is not what we need, which was never accurate

B. Freddi Gonzalez either needs to go or be held accountable for his playing favorites.

C. Chipper either needs to go or shut up. His opinions and thoughts overweigh his production and worth at this point. Everyone wanted to pit Heyward against Constanza but if Constanza can hit .300 for a full year and give you 30+ Stolen Bases, his production could be better than Chipper at like 1/20th of the price.
